What Kind Of Ring Is Mila Kunis Engagement Ring?

Ashton proposed to Mila with a modest five-carat round-cut solitaire Tiffany diamond ring. This was in 2014, so a five-carat round was anything but modest at the time.

The round-cut is the most popular and classic diamond shape, known for its brilliant sparkle and versatility. It features a circular outline with 58 facets, which are strategically cut to maximize the stone’s brilliance, fire, and scintillation.

The simple yet striking ring also has a delicate band with a semi-pave inlay that adds just the right amount of detail without detracting from its minimalist vibes.

The term “pave” comes from the French word for “paved,” and it refers to the appearance of the setting, which resembles a paved surface with stones closely set together. 

In a traditional full pave setting, the gemstones cover the entire surface of the metal, leaving little to no metal visible. In a semi-pave inlay, the surface of the metal is partially paved with closely set gemstones, leaving some visible metal areas in between.

This setting style provides a delicate balance between the brilliance and sparkle of the gemstones and the luster of the metal, giving the jewelry piece a refined and sophisticated appearance.

We’d estimate that her round-cut solitaire diamond, if it is around five carats, would have cost now-husband Ashton Kutcher around $250,000. 

Not long after the wedding she decided to trade her engagement ring for a dainty wedding band she purchased off Etsy for $90.

She keeps her pricier engagement ring locked away in a safety deposit box, for fear someone will ‘chop her hand off’ for it, she’s previously explained.
